The Dunsborough Towners season starts this Sunday when they clash with Collie in the second round of the South West Premier League football season in Collie.
In a disastrous opening round two weeks ago Dunsborough’s three senior teams, Premier League, Reserves and Women, lost to Bunbury United 6-1, 3-0 and 1-0. The club has decided to ignore that day and concentrate on the rest of the season. “We had so many players missing for various reasons that we couldn’t field two full men’s teams and were forced to play most of the second-half of the Premier League encounter with ten men,” said club president Tony Plumb. “This week they will all be back on deck and on the showing at pre-season training we should have a competitive side to provide any opposition with food for thought”. The Easter break was fortuitous for a number of players who picked up knocks in the game against Bunbury. However, there are still question marks hanging over one or two players for this week’s game. |
