Reserves fight out a drawSunday, 26 April 2009 00:00 The Dunsborough Towners appeared set for victory when they scored two early goals in their Premier League reserves clash with Eaton at the Dunsborough Paying Fields on Sunday. But just as quickly Eaton brought the Towners crashing back to earth with two goals of their own in a tough 2-2 draw. At this early stage the oemsn were there for a high scoring encounter with both sidssz throwing caution to the wind an attacking at every opportunity. However, as quickly as the early goals appeared they dried up and the game became an arm wrestle until the final whistle. Both clubs had chances to add to their tally in which Doug Horsford and young Kaden Heathcote had provided Dunsborough with the flying start they were looking for. “To be fair to Eaton they scored two good goals on breakaways,” said club president Tony Plumb this week. “It was end to end stuff until the final 20 minute when Dunsborough finally grabbed the game to dominate without finding the winner that looked likely to come at any moment”. |
